Recommended Rotary Club Bylaws

Article 1 Definitions

  1. Board: The Board of Directors of this club.

  2. Director: A member of this club's Board of Directors.

  3. Member: A member, other than an honorary member, of this club.

  4. Quorum: The minimum number of participants who must be present when a vote is taken: one-third of the club’s members for club decisions and a majority of the directors for club board decisions.

  5. RI: Rotary International.

  6. Year: The twelve-month period that begins on 1 July.

  7. SRC: The Rotary Club of Seoul or in short “Seoul Rotary Club”

  8. SYLC: “Seoul Young Leaders Club”, a satellite club of SRC

  9. Club Trainer: A person elected by BOD and club members to train and advise the elected president and other officers

Your club may choose how it defines a quorum for voting purpose.

Article 2 Board

The government body of this club is its board of directors, consisting of the President, Immediate Past President, President-Elect/Nominee, Secretary, Treasurer, and in addition, Vice President(s), Committee Chairs, Club Trainer, PDGs & DG Elect/Nominee, Sergeant-at-Arms and the Chair of SYLC satellite club. Any of the above members can elect to not to be a BOD member for health or personal reasons. And any additional members can be added if it is decided at the general meeting.
